Biography

California-born & raised producer, singer/songwriter, and recording artist Wu Am I welcomes you into his sonic wuniverse that blends together indie pop, electronica, and R&B. After being gifted a MIDI keyboard in 2015, he began recording and releasing a variety of original songs, from the dark, sinister tracks of No Angel and “Captain,” to dreamy and poignant singles such as “to the last of a dying breed” and “Supernova.” 
 His breakout 2020 hit “i love when it rains in LA” mixes R&B-style vocals over a bass beat to celebrate those rare moments of respite from the liveliness of Los Angeles and has amassed over 1 million streams. Wu Am I released the glittery dance floor anthem “San Frandiscothèque” with Freddie, which they performed together at the 2022 San Francisco Pride Festival.
