Biography

A daring mix of amped-up acoustics, harmonica & vocals, The Alarm has sounded around the world via songs like 1983’s The Stand & Sixty Eight Guns Following the release of Declaration 1984-1985 & Strength - 2019 Remaster , The Alarm played the Spirit of '86 (30th Anniversary Edition) concert beamed live via MTV. Eye of the Hurricane (1987-1988 Remastered) , Change (1989 -1990 Remastered) & Raw (1990 -1991 Remastered) followed before a very public swan song in 1991. 
 A revised and new Alarm line up re-emerged in '04 through the Poppy Fields 'fake band' escapade & the 45 RPM single took them back into the charts along with 5 album collection - In The Poppy Fields. Soon after, Mike Peters was diagnosed with cancer, forcing the band into playing shows dictated by the chemotherapy regime that has kept him alive ever since. 
 In '06, normal service was resumed and The Alarm released Under Attack followed by an 8 EP Counter Attack Collection that gave birth to Guerilla Tactics & Direct Action. In 2013, the band recorded the Vinyl Movie Soundtrack album. 
 The band’s 30th Anniversary was represented with new recordings of Declaration and Strength was honoured with The Alarm backed by an orchestra at the Poppies Falling From the Sky concert, and the premiere of award winning Documentary movie – Man in the Camo Jacket: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack . 
 They released the acclaimed album Equals in 2018 and followed up with the Number One U.K. Rock album Sigma in 2019.
