Biography

Bonner Black, the ballerina turned Nashville Indie Pop singer/songwriter from Hot Rock, TN, began her life on stage at age 4. In her early teen years she taught herself to play guitar and, by the time she was in 9th grade, was writing and performing in Nashville 3 to 5 days per week. At seventeen, Black moved to Nashville to continue honing her craft and embarked on her first regional tour throughout the Southeast. During that time, Black participated in four lobbying trips with NSAI to Washington, DC. In 2016, she was awarded the Artist Entrepreneur Award by The Oxford Center of Entrepreneurs at The Times Center in New York City. With over 500 shows under her belt, she has opened for acts like The Bellamy Brothers, Charlie Daniels, and The Band Perry, and has been a regular at Nashville's most popular songwriter venues, The Bluebird and The Listening Room. Today, her music showcases her Southern roots blended with catchy melodies and lyrics. As an independent artist, Black has amassed over 423.6k streams across all platforms while cultivating an enthusiastic and engaged fan base. Her Debut EP, Out Of Dreams, tells stories of lost love with sharp lyrics overlaying sweet melodies capped at the end by "The Old Way," the cliffhanger for what to expect on Black's next project, the first single of which, titled “Breaking A Sweat,” came out on April 27th and landed two Spotify playlists followed by "Take Me On," the second single, which is out now.
