Biography

Tarita de Souza is a multiple artist working in music, theater, visual arts, education, and research. As a musician, she is a singer, songwriter, conductor, arranger, and vocal coach. Her first solo album, A Árvore e o Vento from 2014, mixes renowned MPB names with her own original songs and has guest appearances by Renato Braz, André Mehmari, Ivan Vilela, Kabé Pinheiro, Neymar Dias, among others. In 2019 she released the album Crisálidas in partnership with pianist Thais Nicodemo, full of songs written by the duo. Her latest album, Os olhos escutam, a alma canta, features more original songs, produced in partnership with André Mehmari, Conrado Goys and Rodrigo Bragança.
