Biography

Vultura is a Latvian singer, songwriter and record producer. 
 She released her debut solo album, Not Your Typical Fairytale in 2022. It was met with critical acclaim and deemed a “promising musical manifest” and has won in The Annual Latvian Music Recording Awards as the best "Debut" and "Electronic/Dance" music album of 2023. It is also regarded as one of the biggest surprises in the Latvian electronic music scene. 
 "Not Your Typical Fairytale" encapsulated a variety of themes, sounds and approaches. Through unwavering and successful collaboration with producer Mark1Records, genres such as darkwave, new wave, synthpop, post-punk were incorporated into more traditional EDM styles such as drum n’ bass, creating a provocative yet euphonious listening experience. In terms of lyrical content, the focus is mostly on topics surrounding mental health and the varieties of interpersonal relationships life offers. 
 On the production and songwriting front, she began producing and writing by herself in 2015, however, she has been involved in the music industry since an early age. Now, with the attention of various local media outlets and radio stations, Vultura wishes to become a pioneer in the electronic and alternative music scenes not just in Latvia, but abroad as well.
