Sophie Hanson is a Swedish Country-Pop artist with a Nordic melancholic twist. Born & raised in Eskilstuna she grew up listening to old time classics like Johnny Cash, Aretha Franklin & Led Zeppelin. With a powerful, yet emotional voice she combines the best of old school and new age pop country music. Sophie Hanson's debut single "So Long" became the most played song on Swedish national Radio in the summer of 2018. In the spring of 2021, Sophie was nominated for the British Country Music Awards (BCMA) with the song "Pour me up a drink". She is current with the song "Brother", which in October 2022 won an award for "original song of the year" at the "Texas International Country Music Awards" in the US. in 2023 she’s nominated for a second time at the texas sounds CMA and a first time nomination at one of the biggest independant music awards in Nashville, ”The Josie music awards” for ”best female vocalist of the year, modern country”
