Biography

Narendra Pawaka (Eda) and Mario Pratama are two Indonesian radio personalities that are on the rise. Dedicated to being a music lover for the longest time, the two then formed a band / duo with the name Dead Bachelors. The duo that also goes by the name Duo Budjang in their radio DJ / Host world, combines various types of musical references from different eras and genres to their music from 80s synth pop, 90s old school rock to the best of 2000s pop music. In 2019 Dead Bachelors released their debut single ‘Truth or Dare’ and was soon followed by an EP called ‘New Lover’. In March 2020, they released ‘A Kiss You Can’t Take Back’ off their 2nd EP ‘New Kid in Town’. Even though the members of this duo joke around being a start-up band, Dead Bachelors proved their seriousness in the music scene by having 10 songs and 2 EPs in a span of a year. In 2020 Dead Bachelors received 3 nominations from the Anugerah Musik Indonesia (AMI) for best newcomer, best duo / group collaboration and best duo / group urban collaboration. With the fun way that Dead Bachelors approach music sometimes might make people think that this band is comedic but in truth, the duo just wanted to make music, share it to the world and hoped that people would be able to relate to it. At the end of it, Dead Bachelors want to be friends with their listeners. “ To shed some light during the darkest of days to remind them there is always a light at the end of everything.”
