Biography

Napat Snidvongs weaved melodic pop songs, 70s folk music, and atmospheric soundscape into his own style, carving out a unique spot in the Thai underground music scene since the mid-2000s. He released his first album Fruit (Remastered) in 2005 and subsequent albums through So::ON Dry Flower Records, an independent music label founded by composer Koichi Shimizu - known for his collaborations with the Palme d'Or director Apichatpong Weerasethakul. His music captured stories of modern Thai society and Bangkok city’s atmosphere. It's a clash of 2 cultures - as if Thai folklore were re-told through the sounds of Belle and Sebastian, Sparklehorse, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and Nick Drake. His latest album Thousands (2021) is available now for streaming/purchase.
