Biography

Formed in early 2019, The Florentinas comprises Paddy Boyd (vocals/guitar), Jacob Kane (bass), Luke Swann (guitar) and Jakob Swann (drums), who met at secondary school in Bangor, Northern Ireland. Their hook-heavy indie rock has garnered attention at home and beyond, signing a publishing deal with BMG in 2020. 
 In 2021/22 they released singles 'Sandcastles' and 'It's Not In Vain', both playlisted on Cool FM, Q Radio, RTE 2fm and BBC Radio Ulster. The band have supported Nothing But Thieves, The Amazons, Stereophonics and Snow Patrol, as well as performing at Stendhal Festival, Electric Picnic and Other Voices in 2022. 
 The Florentinas closed the year by winning the BBC Introducing Across The Line Artist of the Year award at the Northern Ireland Music Prize.
