Biography

Taina Gee is a highly respected musician from the Solomon Islands, with over 25 years of experience in the music industry. He is known for his unique blend of traditional and contemporary influences, and his versatility as a performer. Taina began his musical journey with the Wasikanara panpipe group, where he showcased his talents performing traditional music from West Are'are of Malaita Province. He went on to tour internationally and even had the honor of performing at the Queen Elizabeth Jubilee in 1998. Taina's talent has not gone unnoticed, and he has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the Pacific Island music scene, including Sharzy, Sean Rii, DMP, Onetox, O-FouR, and many more. Taina Gee is currently working with a new independent music label, Headhunters Music Gang, and has just released his highly-anticipated new album entitled Tu Kou. The album features collaborations with local artists such as Vania Jeeno Evin Rush and more. Produced by DJ Liamz and the multifaceted musicians Sean Rii and Mossa. Tu Kou showcases Taina Gee's versatility as a performer and his unique blend of traditional and contemporary influences. Despite his impressive achievements, Taina remains relatively unknown in the wider Pacific Island music scene, but his talent and dedication to his craft deserve recognition and appreciation.
