Biography

Stagajah Band - A talented Quartet from Papua New Guinea. The group was formed by Statz (Music Producer), Gaix (Song Writer/Rapper) and Jay Ray (Singer) and later welcomed on board Stonky (Singer/Song Writer). Following the formation of the group in mid 2014, Stagajah Band went on to claim the Newest 'Group of the Year' and 'Listener's Choice Group of the Year' awards at the annual Yumi FM PNG Music Awards in 2015. They were also awarded the 'Listener's Choice Group of the Year' award in 2016, then came back strong in 2017 to claim 3 awards; 'Listener's Choice Group of the Year', 'Group of the Year' and 'Studio Label of the Year' awards. Their recent achievements at the Yumi FM PNG Muisc Awards are the 'Best Duo/Group Of the Year' Awards in 2019 and 2020 respectively. Their unique music arrangements blending PNG's original local melodies together with modern genres have kept this group a household name in the recent years. Adapting to today's trends however keeping the PNG local flavors. Stagajah Band has also worked alongside some PNG's and Pacific's top artists like Sharzy, Anslom Nakikus, Dema Saul, Sprigga Mek, Late B Rad and many more. Some of their Hit songs include, Angel SN ft (Nathan Nakikus), Tehene'e (ft Sharzy), Yu Nau (ft Dr Wiz) recorded under GL Productions, Go Back, Raona'Au and recent hit with Tonton Malele titled Woko Sile and heaps more. Currently working on their E.P dropping soon.
