Biography

"Pop music for unpopular people" Formed in late 2017 by lead singer Greg Sheffield, it remained a solo project for quite sometime. Every once in a while, RockGati would play a show with various members, the most consistent member being Evander Curbelo of Rednave. In 2020, RockGati released Candy Cigarettes, featuring songs like Crush and Pennies. This lush, dream-pop inspired album, along with the joining of Chelsea Vaughn into the band as a full-time member, helped boost RockGati's popularity in the Connecticut/Western MA music scene, which features artists like Too Much of a Good Thing, Litvar, Asher Kai, Pond View, T!LT, and Bassal. In 2021, RockGati released Every Aardvark Drinks Green Beer Everyday, which some have called their best to date. Featuring drums by Jericho Rogers, this album showed how much RockGati had grown since the days where it was just Greg making music in his bedroom. During the summer of 2021, RockGati went through various drummers before settling on Minh Vu, finally forming the iconic lineup seen today.
