Biography

I've been a musician since the tender age of five. Sometimes actively writing and performing, at other times not. This is my first recording in 13 years and it illustrates a maturity and simplicity of writing style. During Covid I’ve been home, walking our land, learning about native plants & contemplating life at 60. My new single release, Showing Me Diamonds is distilled from moments of gratitude, also pondering my marriage of 40 years to my husband Kurt, who wrote verse two. It’s filled with late life musings. My second new single release, Bringing You a Rose, I penned while bringing a rose to my favorite tree. The lyrics grew to be much more. Both of these songs are graced by Grammy Winner Nancy Rumbel and violist Phil Heaven. Nancy's oboe always makes my heart sing. She also added a melodica on Rose. Phil Heaven and I have played music together since the mid 1990's. Phil engineered and mixed the new songs, while Kurt and I produced them. I have independently released six full length albums and toured with my band in the US and Canada. I love the magic of the recording studio, creating sound that fills the heart. I write music to encourage myself, and I do hope that it brings hope and positivity to the planet. Thanks for listening.
