Biography
Exploding onto Salt Lake City's indie music scene in 2019, Sunfish has generated quite a buzz in a relatively short amount of time, selling out their frequent hometown shows with ease. Accompanied onstage by an ever-changing array of electrifying musicians, Carter drenches gritty-alternative-synth-rock in warm melodies and encapsulating hooks, utilizing his antithetical music tastes to shift in genre with every release. Having DIY conquered the west coast, touring with bands such as Arlie and Friday Pilots Club, and playing shows with other recognized names like IDKhow, Dead Poet Society, and Badflower, Sunfish will continue to give their all to every performance, whether it’s for 10 people or 10,000. Sunfish's songwriting is well-complemented by an electrifying live show. The band's versatility is regularly put to the test as they perform a wide range of styles in their set, playing with both popular indie pop/rock groups, and larger rock and metal bands.
