Biography
Vic Lucas represents the voice of a generation that is unapologetically different. Born in Nigeria, raised in South Africa, and discovered in the United States, Vic’s musical tastes are as diverse as his upbringing. Armed with a versatile vocal palette, Vic shines in his ability to cross the boundaries of musical genre. From hard hitting trap beats, to enchanting electronic music, and dance filled afrobeat sounds, he creates music that is not only culturally relevant, but also spiritually significant. In his own words he says, “ I don’t see genre as a box that I am to be thrown in. I see genre as my paint brush. I use whatever paint brush is necessary in order to help you to see the full picture.” Vic started putting out music independently in 2017 under the moniker “The Vicious Vic”, To date, Vic’s music has been played over 3 million times on streaming platforms. He has released 3 EP’s and a slew of singles including the song “Enough” which charted for multiple weeks on the Billboard Christian AC charts. In late 2021 Vic made the decision to relaunch his brand with his birth name Vic Lucas. A move that the artist believes will allow for honest and authentic creativity moving forward.
