Biography

Heavily dub-influenced production duo Noiseshaper -- Axel Hirn and Florian Fleischmann -- debuted in 2001 on the renowned Different Drummer label (UK) with their album Prelaunch Sequence. In 2003, their second album The Signal established the band's signature blend of heavy bass lines, crisp drums, and conscious lyrics, all infused with a modern production twist. Their next three releases, 2005's Rough Out There, 2006's Real to Reel and 2009's Satellite City were released through Echobeach. Noiseshapers music is featured in movies like Disturbia, Dukes of Hazzard and Solitary Man as well as TV series like CSI:Miami and Californication and NCIS: Los Angeles. Over the years Noiseshaper have remixed artists like Sly & Robbie, Horace Andy, Carl Douglas and Zeroleen, amongst others. Starting out in Berlin, the two Austrians later worked from London and Vienna. In 2023, the band released a new EP entitled Listen to the Sound.
