Biography
Laur Elle is a singer-songwriter who has always been drawn to the magic of words. After attending jam sessions and open mics, Laur Elle discovered that nothing in life made her happier than being in the creative community. Industrious and a self-starter through and through, she took a desk job at a music school to become more ingrained with fellow artists. She was hoping to connect with like-minded music lovers — and she succeeded. Soon finding herself co-writing and working with producers, Laur Elle confirmed that music is more than a hobby. It is her calling. Laur Elle remembers growing up with the soft rock of Goo Goo Dolls and Third Eye Blind before being drawn to Taylor Swift's storytelling, the playfulness of The 1975, and the bracing authenticity of artists like Halsey and Dominic Fike. Rather than simply try to synthesize these artists and their respective sounds, she’s instead found herself working to bridge the gap between pop artist and singer-songwriter. Laur Elle’s airy vocals, grounded lyrics, and lush sound create the perfect vehicle for escapism — a sound she calls music perfect for running (or, more appropriately, driving) away from problems. Writing has become her escape, and Laur Elle now wants to offer the same kind of solace for her listeners. Her songs are a way for her to release her emotions — and if she can help anyone else do the same with her music, she’ll consider it a success.
