Biography
Since the release of their debut album in 2007, the band LILLASYSTER have released five more albums. Always on tour, and always with something going on, the band has several nominations for the Swedish Grammys and a number of Gold and Plantinum Awards up to date. In January of 2021 the band released their fifth album @Svensk Jävla Metal (Swedish Fucking Metal). Just a few weeks later the band was taking part in the biggest Swedish TV-show, Melodifestivalen. The show is the official try-outs for the Eurovison and LILLASYSTER advanced to the second round, and had a major hit with the song @Pretender which reached gold and platinum status sales crazy fast. In 2022 the band reappeared in Melodifestivalen with their song @‘Till Our Days Our Over’ and once again advanced to the second round and the song instantly landed on Spotify Sweden’s Top 50 chart. A busy summer with lots of big shows and a big number of national TV-performances later, the band is now releasing their new album ‘Stormtrooper Boombox’ on January 20th. It’s their 6th studio album and the first one written entirely in English. The album has already reached critical acclaim from Sweden Rock Magazine in a 8/10 review, as well as amassed over 15 millions streams combined from the song’s already released from it.
