Ronja Maltzahn. When orchestral pop music teams up with the taste of the wide world the result is called: Worldpop, the sound of wanderlust. The German singer-songwriter Ronja Maltzahn is a globetrotter and storyteller from the heart. She plays cello, piano, guitar, ukulele and writes songs in seven different languages. For her music is a canvas for the facetful colors of emotion she encounters along the roads of life. Four years ago she met her Argentinian bass player and music partner Fede in Italy, ever since they have been touring all over Europe and South America with over 350 concerts. First as a Duo and then with their ever-growing band, the BlueBird Orchestra. It has a core formation of seven multi-instrumentalists (vocals, strings, sax, drums, guitar, piano) and a grand formation with 15 musicians with brass and string section plus dancers. 
The band has been awarded with the “Panikpreis” for German newcomers from the Udo Lindenberg Stiftung in 2021, the “popfonds” by the lower-saxony state initiative popNDS and was nominated for the Dieter-Wasilke folk-price. 2022 will see the release of their third studio album, following Worldpop (2020) and Beautiful Mess (2018).
