Biography

Cartographs is a post-metal band from Copenhagen, Denmark. Since they were formed in 2014, a more alluring and atmospheric sound has evolved, with influences from black metal and folk music, the band has since grown into something more compelling. It results in captivating songs that reflects the emotional musical journey the band has taken since their inception. With the release of their anticipated debut album Wilt & Blossom, Cartographs is taking the next step as a band. The album is live recorded to come as close as possible in capturing the intensity of a Cartographs show. It is produced by the talented Chris Kreutzfeldt, who worked before with acts like CABAL, MØL and Ghost Iris. Since their inception Cartographs has already released three singles, and an EP entitled Safe Travels, as well as toured most of Europe playing alongside acts such as Comeback Kid (CA), Bane (US), Being As An Ocean (US), Betraying The Martyrs (FR), Rolo Tomassi (UK), Desolated (UK), Alazka (DE), Acres (UK), My Iron Lung (US), CABAL (DK), MØL (DK) and Ghost Iris (DK).
