Biography
Mt. Pocono (pronounced Poh • Koh • Noh) the band - not to be confused with Mt. Pocono (Poke • onn • O) the PA honeymoon & love capital of the early 20th century and now turned tourist trap - is a punk, noise rock, and emo influenced band with an aggressive fuzz-laden sound and catchy riffs hailing from the Chicago burb of Elgin, IL that consists of Julian Medriano, Em Buttermore, Brandon Garlick, and Jon Alvarado. Not particularly fond of putting themselves in a box when it comes to their style or genre the members will change vocalists and occasionally instruments for different songs which allows you to hear each of their distinct styles come out, but come together as one. They released their debut EP "You're Saying It Wrong" in the fall of 2017, a single titled "They Come at Night" in Spring of 2018, and just released their second EP "Fear of the Savanna, Terror of the Suburbs." If you're into bands with the likeness of Glocca Morra, Braid, Title Fight, Cloud Nothings, or Sonic Youth then you'll probably enjoy Mt. P.
