Biography

LA native, Jonny Henninger, a self-described ’creative storyteller’, uses music to create and communicate spiritual experience. Having always seen music as an integral part of his life, the meaning of his creativity distinctly changed in 2019 when he found new purpose through profound spiritual transformation. Having been brought out of such a dark place, Henninger’s music now fully reflects his faith, speaking of the grace and peace found in the love of Jesus Christ. Musically, his work ranges anywhere from Soul and Alt R&B to Future Bass and Chill Wave. Influenced by various artists such as Galimatias, Maths Time Joy and Ta-ku he brings his own distinct sound to these growing genres whilst lyrically sharing the Way of Jesus’ teachings and how these ancient Truths relate to everyday Life. He explores this blend of sacred and secular with a wealth of talented collaborators from the indie Christian scene such as Sarah Nathalié, Austin Sebek and Eliza King. Having first gained traction with a string of single releases, he broke new ground in 2022 with his debut EP ‘Amidst’. Now in 2023, he releases his most ambitious project yet, ‘So Much To Say’, a series of three EPs that separately share different experiences of spiritual Life in three distinct themes, yet together tell a complete story. This immersive narrative will be told through characterised audio skits across the project and additional visual material including artwork, short-form video and live music sessions.
