Biography

Oceans in the Sky, Liam Frost (傅雷)’s high-energy solo project, began as Mugen in 2013 with the release of his debut EP, Sparks. Since then, he has released numerous singles, played solo and full band tours in China, Taiwan, and the U.S., and performed on TV and radio shows in Taiwan.
Back in New York City, punk legend Fred Mascherino (The Color Fred, Say Anything, ex-Taking Back Sunday) has signed Frost to his new label, Heading East Records, along with his band of best buds (Wonjoon Jang, Joe Anderson and Connor Frost). Oceans released their debut album Parallels at the start of 2023. Half of it written in Taipei, and half upon returning to New York, it spans countless genres with multilingual lyrics and catchy pop melodies but a punk rock energy throughout. Lyrically, the theme is no matter which side of the world Frost is on, he is looking for a sense of belonging. Being biracial and multilingual/cultural, he sees parallels in Eastern and Western music and connects them.
