Biography
The Fiends are a 5-piece alternative / indie rock band with a post punk edge from Swansea, South Wales. Inspired by the likes of Fontaines DC, The Strokes, QOTSA, Arctic Monkeys and Deftones, each member brings an individual taste of music and styles that influence their songs. Ethan Goslett’s honest and rugged vocals mixed with poetic songwriting shows a raw and compelling perspective of his home town. Joshua Albrighton’s bass lines add depth and groove that will captivate entire song, driven by Ben Quint’s drums that cuts through the mix and propells the song. Ben Ballantyne’s intricate melodies brings warmth and depth to their shoegaze sound, invigorated by Ceulan William’s taste in blues rock. Formed in 2020, the boys were writing music through lockdown and released their debut single “The Glitz & Glamour” on 5th February 2021 - receiving 1000+ streams in the first 24 hours, leading to the boys making their live debut on 7th August 2021 to a SOLD-OUT crowd at The Bunkhouse, Swansea. Since then, The Fiends have gone from strength to strength - dominating their local music scene and playing multiple sold out shows with Pastel, Peter Hook & The Light, As December Fall as well as main support to a 500-person crowd with THE SNUTS at Swansea’s prestigious venue - Sin City. After embarking on 2 UK Tours , the lads have just released their debut EP titled ‘Mazel Tov’. This four song EP consists of Talk Soon, Mazel Tov, She Said and Sleeping About.
