Biography

In the mid-1970s, high school friends Froilan G. Villegas (vocals and guitar), Ferdie Villeza (bass and vocals), Jerome Bustamante (guitars, vocals and various instruments), Alex Castillo (drums) and Lito Ortega (keyboards) formed a band named Forty-Five on Thirty-Three. Their repertoire included covers of America, Eagles, CSN&Y, and other bands in the same genre, as well as their own original songs. 
 After their high school graduation, the group disbanded due to the challenges of rehearsing with members residing several kilometers apart. 
 In 2004, the band members reunited with the help of social media, and reformed the group with the name The Power of X, focusing on writing original Christian music. However, due to personal issues, Lito Ortega is unable to fully commit to the group and has become the band's session musician whenever he is available. 
 In June 2021, Ferdie stepped down from his bass guitar duties to devote himself fully to his role as a pastor. However, he will remain involved with the band as their public relations manager and sound engineer. Richie Ridulme has taken over as the band's bass guitarist. 
 The band's goal is to share the message of faith, hope, love, and salvation, not only through their music, but also through their charitable efforts. They are known simply as "Musicians on a Mission."
