TEN FOOT POLE, Simmer Down: New and old songs, driven by acoustic guitar. Oct 9 release. Ten Foot Pole, known for 90’s style melodic skate-punk from the California Epitaph Records scene, presents Simmer Down: an acoustic guitar driven album featuring new and old original tunes. The old songs have been reimagined, often with a drastically different vibe than the distorted guitar, adrenaline heavy original recordings. The new tunes represent a glimpse at the writing process, presenting songs in a clear, intimate setting (usually vocals, acoustic guitars, bass and simple drums), before the usual rockification process adds thrills, fills and noise, which create excitement but can obscure the heart of a song.
