Biography
Dizzy Dee is a Zimbabwean singer, producer and songwriter currently residing in Melbourne where he performs and works as a disk jockey on a regular basis. His major break came in 2014 with a single featuring Jamaican reggae star, Torch “Never See We Fading” an ABRA Records release that attracted major labels. VP Records first talked to the artist in 2015 and singed a distribution deal in 2016 through VPAL Music. Dizzy Dee joins Stonebwoy and Patoranking as one of the few African born reggae artists signed to the label along big names such as Gyptian, Sean Paul, Beres Hammond to name a few. His first release under the label was Time Shall Tell which was released on the 22nd July 2016 debuting #2 in the Australian Roots and Reggae Top Chart. Noteworthy collaborations on the EP are Overcome featuring Beniton, Stay Focused with German songstress Saralene and Wake Up & Live featuring fellow Aussie Reggae artist Jah Tung and Vanuatu sensation Tujah. A few performance highlights include opening for international acts such as Sean Paul, Richie Spice, Luciano , Timaya, Bracket, and shared the stage with Beniton and Maxi Priest on his Easy To Love Australian Tour also touring Vanuatu with Jah Mason.
