Biography

Rachèl Louise started her musical career with “At The Disco”. An honest piano song about ADD. Louise’s songwriting brings poppy melodies and direct words. With her first record she played supporting shows for James Morrison and Brooke Fraser and her songs were playlisted on national radio stations throughout The Netherlands. Her second EP was created with Odd Martin Skålnes and Magnus Skylstad (AURORA) in Norway (2017). She toured with Aurora and major Dutch bands Racoon & Bløf. 2018 took a turn and brought the Country/Folk band “The BlueBirds” to life. A trio created with Louise, Elske deWall & Krystl. The female collection released two albums together, played two large theatre tours through Holland and sold out venues like Amsterdam’s Paradiso. As a songwriter R.L. has written for artists like Yuki, Og3ne, Frenna and Brooks. Inspired by yoga and meditation, Rachèl intended to write an EP of "yoga pop music" - zen-infused pop songs, aiming to make the world a little lighter. That intention backfired and Rachèl ended up writing about four major problems: mental health, politics, religion and climate change - the result, Popular Problems, is her latest EP.
