    Biography

    Pavlos Pavlidis is a musician, lyricist and singer, born on October 13, 1964 in Bremen of Germany and grown up in Veria.     From 1984 to 1988 he was a member of the band “ Mora sti Fotia”.   In 1989 he moved to Paris and created the Brancaleone studio together with Nikos Kantaris. In that time, Pavlos composed the core of the album “Xessaloniki”.  In 1992 he created the band Xylina Spathia. With Pavlos being the lead singer, and main composer and lyricist, Xylina Spathia released 5 albums and made numerous tours in Greece and abroad, including milestone performances along with legendary acts as The Sonic Youth, Pulp and Rolling Stones.  In 2003, after Xylina Spathia had split up and after completing the album “Afou loipon ksehastika” (2004), he created the B-Movies band. Together they released 6 albums and two 7″ singles.  All these years they traveled around Greece and abroad touring and playing in some of the biggest festivals in the country.    In September 2020, he released two new 7” singles (“I nea varvarotita – Despoinis”, with the participation of Giannis Aggelakas, & “Apenanti – Afisa ton Fovo na fygei”).  2021 finds him with a new group of musicians, preparing altogether their new music material that is expected to be released in 2021 by United We Fly.
