Artist, producer, songwriter, label owner ✨ Born and raised in the UK, and a student of the Royal Academy of Music, Gunn’s long music career has been continuously fueled by the natural world around us and the relationships we form between nature and ourselves. His long career spans several decades, pushing the threshold of experimental, ambient, chill house, and trance electronic works. It’s a style that fuses past and present with a sound that is uniquely his. During a time when retail chains such as Tower Records, Borders Books and Music and Blockbuster Music were thriving, Gunn spent 55 consecutive weeks on the Billboard charts selling over a million copies of his The Music of the Grand Canyon, the equivalent of 1.5 billion streams in todays digital market. “I feel like I’ve had two distinct music careers. One before the digital age of music and one where I find myself now, combining my sound for a new electronic music market. It’s the past and present all coming together”. His writing collaboration For All Time with Armin van Buuren and Aly & Fila won A State of Trance Tune of the Year in 2021 while his artist collaboration with Dave Neven, Love You More, earned a #43 position on A State of Trance Top 50 in 2022. Now finding himself at the helm of his own label, Blue Dot Music (Sony The Orchard, Sony / ATV Publishing) Gunn represents many of his own recordings as well as other artists across the electronic spectrum.
