Biography

Post Luctum is a melodic death/doom metal project that's known for its moody melodies, dark atmosphere, and strong vocal convictions. Post Luctum was created in early 2019 and comes from California, Maryland in the United States. The project currently consists of solo creator and song writer Ian Goetchius and as of October 2019, released the debut EP "After Mourning". The lyrical themes and topics range from isolation and depression, to the paranormal and afterlife. Next the debut album titled “Acceptance” was released August 26th, 2021 and featured the singles “Our Monuments” and “Frozen Hearts”. Shortly after the release of “Acceptance”, the second EP “The Night Will Carry On” which was released on January 21st 2022. The newest album "The Indifference of Time: I" is part of a trilogy of albums and is tonally death/doom and about dealing with loss and questioning the difference in selfishness and selflessness.
