Biography

Aria’s nostalgic sound combines the soothing essence of 90’s Neo-Soul with the vibrant bounciness of early 2000’s R&B. Her style and tone have oftentimes sparked comparisons to Lauryn Hill, one of her biggest influences. Previously known as Kelsea Johnson, Aria Bléu began her music career as a top 24 contestant on NBC's The Voice, where she gained her initial fan base on Team Alicia Keys. While on the show, she accumulated 10+ million views on Youtube, landed a #10 position on the R&B charts, Top 100 spot on the overall charts, and garnered praise from the likes of Alicia Keys, Shawn Mendez, and Kelly Clarkson, and more. With Kelly Clarkson heaping compliments on her, saying “Hands down, [she] could make a record right now, release it, and have a career.” And so she did. Since then she has reintroduced herself to the world through her debut EP, “Familiar Stranger” which has caught the attention of multiple digital publications, including Lyrical Lemonade, and has accumulated over 1M streams across platforms.
