THE DISASTER AREA can look back on sold out shows all over Europe, support for acts like Electric Callboy, Callejon, Emil Bulls and Bury Tomorrow and Top-100 chart placements. TDA was founded in Germany, by Alex Maidl, Chris Zillinger and Franz Apfelbeck, with the later addition of Alex Kisslinger and Markus Zabel. Early demos led to a signing with REDFIELD RECORDS in 2018. The record Alpha//Omega was released the same year and followed by sold out shows, various festivals and support slots for international bands. The release of GLASSHEARTS in 2019 was the first new single after Alpha//Omega. It brought six-digit streaming numbers, countless radio plays and a remarkable increase of social media followers. In December 2019 TDA played in front of thousands each night while supporting Electric Callboy on their headline tour all over Europe. In January 2020 TDA accompanied To The Rats And Wolves with sold out shows all over Germany. 2020 brought new and unknown challenges for artists all over the world. TDA used this time to focus on writing and recording the second record Glasshearts. Released in April 2021 it became the first to land the band a place in the German Top-100 chart. This success is accompanied by almost 5 million streams to date, widespread critical acclaim and an almost immediately sold out release show. TDA began a new chapter with their songs GRAVITY and WE ALL WILL LOSE in early 2022 and are gearing up for their biggest Release yet with their song "Martyr"!
