Biography

Dzivia is a Belarusian music project created by belarusian composer Artur Dzivia in 2012. This music combines the sounds of a symphony orchestra, ancient instruments, massive choirs and tens of singers with dramatically different vocal techniques. Even though Dzivia often finds itself within the genres of Nordic Folk, Ambient, Neoclassic, they don't really correspond to its unique sound. Since the very first album release, many years have been spent in search of that one and only sound that absorbs the best from the related genres, but is not fully similar to them. Tens of musicians and singers took part in the recording. Artur Dzivia spent much time and energy on finding and gathering all these people together to create a really monumental artwork. The lyrics is written by him as well in Belarusian and Old-Belarusian languages. It's full of serious pagan symbolism and different references to the ancient texts. Unfortunately, live concerts seem to be a very complicated task right now due to the fact Dzivia is filled with this great amount of instruments and musicians. But we do hope it will be possible with all the support of our audience.
