Biography
South Summit are an exciting and emerging band hailing from the West Coast of Australia. Music has brought these young lads together from all walks of life. Josh, a Kamilaroi/Yuin man (New South Wales), Zaya & Nemo, brothers from Erub Islands (Torres Straits) & Maori (New Zealand), along with Nathan & Fynn are proud to present their different cultures and demonstrate how music can unite people no matter where you come from. The five piece only formed during the lockdowns of 2020, yet they’ve spent the last 12 months plying their trade across Australia with back-to-back national tours. With a host of sold-out shows already to their name, they are showing no signs of slowing down. The band’s hybrid sound of alt-reggae rock has fast solidified themselves as one of the top upcoming acts in Australia. In 2022, the band reached newfound heights. Nominated for Triple J Unearthed ‘Artist Of The Year’, multiple festival appearances (Groovin The Moo, Falls, Rolling Sets, etc), as well as surpassing over 2 million all time streams. 2023 is set to be another huge year for South Summit. After partnering with Virgin Music Australia in February, they immediately turned their attention to the next body of work, releasing new singles ‘Just Like You’ & ‘I Feel It’. With plenty of touring and tracks on the way, South Summit are living up to their name as ‘One’s To Watch’ (Triple J Unearthed) and are ready to rise to the top. I Feel It - out now via Virgin Music Australia!
