Biography
Multi-talented singer/songwriter, producer and DJ, Emmavie is best known for her unmistakably sultry signature R&B sound. Born and raised in London with roots in West Africa, she is a gender non-conforming Queer and unapologetically Black artist forever working to take and create space in a binary music industry. Despite the challenges, Emmavie has made an imprint on the world of R&B both with her unique tone of voice and with many musical collaborations that span across the globe. Emmavie is championed by the support of thousands of fans, backed by brands like Converse and Budweiser and co-signed by superstars like Idris Elba, Michaela Coel and DJ Jazzy Jeff who recruited her into The Playlist Retreat in 2021. Emmavie aspires to make music that starts conversations and lasts a lifetime. After being named one of Essence magazine’s “Artists To Watch In 2021’, Emmavie independently released her self-produced EP, ‘What’s A Diamond To A Baby’, a compilation of fun and sexy songs littered with 5-Star features including Hip Hop legend, Phonte, Kojey Radical and long-time collaborator, Alfa Mist. Emmavie’s most recent release sees her share credits with Georgia Anne Muldrow - an artist Emmavie quotes to be one of her biggest inspirations.
