Biography
August 29 1966 – The Beatles perform their last live show in Candlestick Park San Francisco. From that moment onwards they will exist as a pure studio band. Between that day in 1966 and August 20 1969, in 3 short years, they recorded some of pop music’s most iconic albums: Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Magical Mystery Tour, The White Album, Let it Be and Abbey Road. They never performed this music live. The Analogues pick up where the Beatles left off when it comes to the challenge of performing these albums in front of a live audience. And they do so with an absolute commitment to authenticity in every way: A unique collection of vintage instruments and amplifiers. Supported by 10 horns and strings. And with a total commitment to the finest detail. Absolutely NO wigs or costumes. Just the music. The Analogues consider the music of the Beatles as classical music and approach their live shows accordingly. No compromise. If they used a harp there is a harp. Sitar? Bring it on. Same for the Clavioline. The Mellotron. The Vox Continental. The Lowrey Heritage Deluxe. The Hammond. The Moog. A collection of some 25 vintage guitars. The old amps. And of course the Ludwig. Essentially a travelling museum of Beatles Gear. The Analogues started touring in the fall of 2015, and have since then done criticly acclaimed renditions of Magical Mystery Tour, Sgt. Pepper and The White Album.
