Biography
Hailing from the West coast of Sweden, indie artist Simon Alexander has drawn a lot of attention and praise from critics and fans around the globe since his debut in 2017. By breathing fresh air into the modern indie scene he has made appearances at various Scandinavian festivals including SPOT Festival, Live at Heart, and Lost In Music, garnered recognition in major media outlets such as Mahogany and Alexrainbird Music, radio play on Swedish National Radio, and Spotify playlist spots on New Music Friday in several countries such as Germany, Denmark and Sweden. Collaborations with producer Tobias Ekqvist, former guitarist of Hurricane Love, at Sunnanå Studios in Malmö have resulted in several EPs and two albums. These have received warm reviews, being said to cross the line between modern indie folk/pop and setting him apart from the usual singer-songwriter formulaic output. Critics and fans have rejoiced, with music blog Belwood Music naming the debut album A Place to Call Home “one of the best albums of 2020”. It is impossible to overlook the interest that has grown for the versatile singer-/ songwriter, and now in 2023 comes a new entry to the catalogue; the 90's oozing EP Evermore, seamlessly blending alternative rock, playful musical antics, and memorable vocal melodies.
