MT Desolation is the country-inspired side project of Keane's Tim Rice Oxley and Jesse Quin. Enlisting the help of Jess Stavely-Taylor of The Staves for additional vocals on lead single Sunrise, Mt Desolation have a history of rounding up close friends in their creative process. With several great musicians coming along for the ride, including Ronnie Vannucci Jr. of The Killers, Tom Hobden of Noah And The Whale, and Country Winston of Mumford & Sons, Mt. Desolation has become some what of a collaborative hub with these exquisite players who have an innate ability to add the light and shade to initial song structures provided by Tim and Jesse. Their self-titled debut, Mt. Desolation, was released by Island Records in 2010 and followed up by sophomore album When The Night Calls in 2018. Now back with an armoury of new material, 2023 looks to be an exciting year for Mt.Desolation.
