Biography
New single 'Write Me Off feat. Kellin Quinn' out now on Old Sport Records. Last Letters is an American pop/punk band from Brooklyn, NY. Charles Iwuc is the sole writer for the group and records all the music in his home studio, Seagull Studios VI. After having followed the Vans Warped Tour in other bands, and playing in the beach-folk trio The Gulls, Charlie started writing the first set of songs for the project in the spring of '16. The debut EP ‘Nothing to Write Home About’ was released the following fall via Old Sport Records. Incorporating the juxtaposition of songs in major keys paired with heavy lyrical themes of toxic love, heartbreak, and growing old alone, Last Letters has always been an emotional outlet for Charlie. Since the beginning, it has been treated as an homage to the early 00s 'American Pie' era of pop/punk. Influences range from blink-182, Sum 41, and New Found Glory, to more of the emo side with Jimmy Eat World, The Get Up Kids, and Dashboard Confessional. Last Letters will always remain a creative escape, but not something Charlie wants to take too seriously, hence the more witty tracks like ‘The Girl Next Door’ and ‘I Love You, Amy Smart.’ American emo garbage punk est. 1990
