Biography

Kaleb Rudy was born and partly raised in Colorado before moving across Virginia, Montana, Iowa, and California by the age of 12. The rural midwest was not the only thing at odds with his queer identity - his father is a Christian pastor. He found an outlet through any artistic means he could get his hands on, from guitar and songwriting to acting and filmmaking. Kaleb’s musical style is best described as intimate. Romantic visuals accompany his confessional lyrics and tender vocal delivery. His 2019 single Burn, written for the LGBT short film Old House, earned him a Best Original Song award from Indie Short Fest and a nomination from Top Shorts Film Festival. His 2021 offering Good Terms was featured in LADYGUNN, Earmilk, and Aupium. Kaleb’s latest string of singles - Eighteen, Mess, and Tornado (Lie With Me) - are taken from his upcoming debut EP, which was announced by Out Magazine for release in 2023. All songs on the record are accompanied by visualizers that tell a love story between two drifters. The videos were directed by Kaleb himself.
