Biography
Trey Day, Born in Honolulu, Hawaii as Trevon Dansler, Brands “Dreams Are Yours” not only as his Mantra, but an abbreviation of the second part of his stage name “Day.” Years later, “Dreams Are Yours” becomes the title of his debut album, encapsulating the belief that your dreams are your own responsibility. Trey Day’s nomadic lifestyle led him to pursue a music career. From living in New York, Southern California and currently creating out of Las Vegas, he incorporates the sounds of both the east and west coasts creating songs anyone can enjoy. In 2018, Day’s Spotify was put on Radar after releasing a tribute titled “My Last Message.” The song is written from the point of view of the late rapper XXXTENTACION. Receiving more than 2 million streams, the song has been accepted as a farewell letter to his fans and even earned Day a personal thank you from the late rapper's mother. Soon after, Day released “Let Go,” a single from his debut album Dreams Are Yours. The song touched the hearts of 3 million fans and solidified his status as an artist. Before the Hawaii-born rapper dropped his debut album, he earned a degree in audio engineering and spent years building his own studio. Following Trey Day’s music is like following your favorite meme page on Instagram - there’s always something relatable. Fans can look forward to more contemporary R&B vibes in his second album, “Day 2” which is set to release in early 2021. - Taj Shorter
