2018 Bongo Star search winner Sarah Michael Kitinga bursts into the East African music scene with her highly anticipated debut single “In Love''. Known for her smooth, soulful and playful vocals, “In Love'' showcases her vocal control and effortless runs while delivering a deep, meaningful and personal message. At 24 years of age, and newly graduated from Dar Es Salam University, Sarah is ready to assume her position as the Melanin Queen of East African. During University, Sarah took a chance and auditioned for the Bongo Star Search Singing Competition in 2018. It was at this time where Sarah was introduced to more diverse styles of music, discovering her versatility as a vocalist. Sarah won the competition and decided to finish her studies before pursuing her musical career Now, Sarah is looking to solidify her belonging in the diverse East African music scene, while developing and evolving her unique musical sound, and vocal ability. Her velvety rich and smooth tone combined with her technically flawless runs lay the foundation for her debut single “In Love”, which talks about the depth of true, deep and intoxicating love. Her vocal ability can transcend and fuse genres of music, while never diminishing her ability to captivate a room with her unique and personal performance style.
