Biography
Spilt Milk Society is a four-piece band formed in 2015 by brothers Harry and Adam Handford in Birmingham, England. The band has since moved to Liverpool, and now consists of four members: Harry Handford (Vocals, guitar), Josh Hyde (Lead guitar), Rob Ford (Drums), and Jordi James (Bass). After success from the release of singles She Tastes Like Summer and Amsterdam the band quickly established themselves as part of the thriving UK music scene. Gaining attention from BBC Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio 6 Music, and Amazing Radio, with BBC Introducing calling Spilt Milk Society “the most exciting band we’ve championed in years.” Their second EP Community explores the nostalgic sound and emotional sincerity that reels in fans across all genres of music, drawing inspiration from Brazilian Bossa Nova (Caetano Veloso, João Gilberto) and Indie Folk/Rock (Big Thief, Flyte) which largely made up the band’s soundtrack to their time in lockdown.
