It’s the simple stuff that make Augusta tick. She’s based in Paris now, but her heart is far to the south. In a farmhouse, perched on the side of a hill, within sight of the Pyrenees. It’s about the people who share her life, observing relationships, witnessing the joys, quirks and occasional tragedies of life. Augusta has tried to take the essence of this and distilled it into a sound of her own. And these musicians have particularly inspired her: Courtney Marie Andrews, Nathaniel Rateliff, Watchhouse, Gregory Alan Isakov, The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons ..to name but a few. Performing recently in France, Britain and Spain, Augusta’s also supported the likes of Tom Rosenthal and J.E. Sunde.
