Biography

“Bacilos” is a Miami multi-awarded, Latin pop band. It was formed at the University of Miami in 1997. Bacilos is led by the singer-songwriter Jorge Villamizar (Colombia) and André Lópes (Brazil) on the bass. After a 10-year career, 5 Latin Grammys and 1 Grammy, and many hits such as Caraluna, Tabaco Y Chanel, and Pasos de gigantes, they took a break until 2017. In 2018 they released their comeback album ¿Dónde nos quedamos?. 
 In 2019, the band signed with The Orchard, releasing an EP "Cupido y Compañía" and released their album “Abecedario”, where they included songs with Carlos Vives Morat and Antonio Carmona. Their most recent collaborations have been with artists from México @LosRumberos, @LeonLeiden and Colombians @Cato Anaya, @Susana Cala and @TIMO! Bacilos recently announced three tours: Chile, Spain, and Back in the USA'23!
