    Biography

    Suffix is a Hip-Hop artist from Malawi. The chart-topping artist started rapping in 2010 but attracted the attention of thousands after releasing his debut album (Before I Sleep) in 2018 which was awarded as the Album of the year at the UMP Awards ceremony. In September 2018, Suffix headlined the Lake of Stars Festival alongside Major Lazer and Sauti Sol. The festival is described by CNN as one of the best music festivals in Africa, and it was the first time Suffix had performed let alone headlined the event. In October the same year, Suffix also performed at the Sand Music Festival. The following year he featured on social awareness projects such as Project April which was geared at promoting the use of urban art to curb violence and abuse related issues – all of which are problems that Suffix is very passionate about. Suffix was born Aubrey G. Ghambi and is currently based in Lilongwe, Malawi. He is known for his witty punch lines and uncompromised message about his faith. He has managed to be successful and has maintained relevance in the music industry amidst the rise of other artists in the same field. He believes in being true to himself and making music that ordinary Malawians can relate to.
