Biography
Anubis originally formed in Sydney back in 2004 by vocalist/bassist Robert James Moulding and keyboard player David Eaton, subsequently joined by Douglas Skene (Hemina; guitars), Dean Bennison (guitars), Steven Eaton (drums) and Anthony Stewart (bass). The band has released five studio albums to date, 230503 (2009), A Tower of Silence (2011), Hitchhiking to Byzantium (2014), The Second Hand (2017) and Homeless (2020). With their layered keyboards and guitars, deep lyrical content and vocal harmonies, the band have gained a reputation for creating cinematic and evocative concept albums, with A Tower of Silence becoming something of a breakthrough record in Europe earning much critical acclaim and following a live release, Behind our Eyes (2015), the band toured Europe with an energetic and precise set culled from the band's varied back catalogue.
