Biography
Resa Saffa Park (also known as Theresa Frostad Eggesbø) is a singer and songwriter born in Dubai, currently based in Oslo after three years of tweaking her sound in Liverpool, UK. Resa grew up listening to many genres of music, but was highly inspired by NIRVANA in her early teens and later influenced by jazz. NIRVANA's tonality of emotional sensitivities is what rings true to Resa and sensitivities as such can also be heard in her music, her way. Despite singing and writing her whole life, she first fell in love with singing jazz in her late teens. Also Inspired by singers such as Billie Holiday and Chet Baker, her music carries a soothing, yet unapologetic blend of modern and vintage, classic and quirky sounds with soulful vocals, catchy melodies, and bold lyrics. A cinematic passage traversing pop, indie and modern soul, all wrapped in melancholy. As one of the artists who has bubbled during the pandemic, the excitement was great after Resa Saffa Park spent the year in the studio and was finally ready with a new EP in collaboration with Propeller (Oslo) and Unity Group (Paris). The first two tastes, Dandelions, and Candles secured playlists at NRK P3 and status as "Tidal Rising Global" in addition to coverage at Visual Atelier and Hurriyet. "When it comes to promising songs and songwriting, she was perhaps the very best this first Bylarm concert night." - DAGSAVISEN “a mature blend of pop, soul and jazz far beyond her age.” - Vervezine
