KEIKO’s music is raw, rooted in folk, and modern sounding at the same time. It’s evolved into electro-folk; a folk music with its authentic elements that feature the rawness of the guitar, the enormous sound of the bass drums and floor toms, paired with electronic elements like synth, big midi drums, and ambient pads, to solidify the whole vibe of the genre. Some kind of a musical hybrid. KEIKO’s aura is edgy, simple and relatable and honest. Her personality is loud and a little edgy onstage but still with a sense of fun. It reflects on everything else, that she’s a girl who wears her heart on her sleeve but she’s a strong, independent woman who drives female empowerment. KEIKO believes in the power of music and the platform that she was given. She speaks the truth; her truth. Her songs can be sad and moving but will embody a positive vibe which gives a hopeful message.
